CFP invites submissions for opinion pieces and articles under the following categories:
General
1. Code of Conduct: CFP seeks to publish informed opinion based on analysis of evidence with strong sources. We welcome critical and thought-provoking opinions. That being said, every argument must be substantiated by credible sources and presented in a respectful manner that advances meaningful dialogue on the topic. We assume that any piece submitted to us has not been simultaneously offered to any other publication. We reserve the right to withhold publication for any submission not meeting these standards.
2. Plagiarism: CFP does not tolerate plagiarism of any kind. Examples of plagiarism include, but are not limited to: use of AI; representing the work of another as one’s own; failing to properly credit or paraphrase another author’s work; and reusing language from one’s previous publications.
3. Review Process: The editors reserve the right to request edits and changes in order to improve the persuasiveness of the piece. CFP will respond to submissions with initial comments within two weeks of receiving them. We expect authors to acknowledge these suggestions within 72 hours of receiving the comments. If you do not receive a response within 14 days of submitting your piece, you are free to submit it to other publications.
We aim to publish approved articles within 3-4 weeks of receiving them. However, CFPK reserves the right to expedite or delay the publication of any article at its discretion. Structure, Format, and Style4. Length: Opinion pieces should be between 600-1500 words. While we expect submissions to be between this range, we consider longer pieces on a case by case basis.
5. Intro: Authors are expected to have a clear thesis statement by communicating their main argument in the opening paragraph. You may look at examples of existing blog posts on our website: climatefinance.pk/cfp-blog
6. Citations: All citations must be included as footnotes in MLA format. In addition to quotes and the work of others, authors are also expected to cite all facts and figures. Citations generated by ChatGPT will disqualify work for consideration. We encourage references from the following sources:
