About Us
Mekaeel Malik – CEO
Mekaeel Malik is the Founder of Climate Finance Pakistan, a policy consultancy and venture building studio looking to make money move for climate action in Pakistan.
To highlight a few initiatives; Mekaeel has represented Pakistan at COP’s official negotiations, taught the first climate finance simulator at a number of universities, has co-authored the first climate governance report for Pakistan with Transparency International, and is now helping climate friendly (bankable) projects scale up in Pakistan. Most recently he lunched a carbon tracking tool for Pakistan called CarbonTrack.
Mekaeel also serves as the COO at Weaverbird Group, overseeing Sufi City, InstaPrint, WB Holdings, CBO, Hair Matters and other group subsidiaries, across Pakistan, USA and the UAE.
Previously, Mekaeel’s career has included years on the trading floor of JP Morgan in London. Mekaeel holds an MBA from the University of Oxford, a BEng from the University of Warwick, and completed his schooling from Aitchison College.
