Climate Finance Pakistan (CFP) has officially partnered with the University of Central Punjab (UCP), marking the beginning of a strategic collaboration aimed at advancing climate education, sustainability leadership, and institutional emissions tracking.
This partnership reflects a shared commitment to equipping future professionals with the tools and knowledge needed to navigate the complex landscape of climate finance and environmental sustainability. By combining CFP’s technical expertise with UCP’s academic platform, the collaboration seeks to enhance the quality and relevance of climate-related learning across disciplines.
At the core of this collaboration is CFP’s support for UCP’s newly launched postgraduate program in Climate Change & Sustainability. CFP will provide technical guidance on key thematic areas, including climate finance, carbon markets, emissions policy, and low-carbon innovation. This support will help ensure that students are exposed to cutting-edge insights and practical tools that reflect real-world challenges and opportunities in the climate space.
In addition, the partnership will enable UCP to integrate emissions tracking into its institutional operations through CFP’s proprietary platform, Carbon Track. This tool will support the university in calculating, managing, and reporting its carbon footprint, an important step toward building climate accountability in higher education.
CFP will also contribute to academic enrichment through curated knowledge resources, real-world case studies, and sector-specific materials that support UCP’s development as a leader in environmental finance education. The partnership is designed to be flexible and advisory in nature, with UCP maintaining full autonomy over academic decisions and curriculum design.
Together, CFP and UCP are laying the foundation for deeper academic engagement in climate action. By aligning technical expertise with educational innovation, the two institutions aim to foster a generation of graduates equipped to lead in sustainability, climate policy, and green innovation.
