Educating for Impact: Carbon Market Session at LUMS

CFP Engages MBA Students on Net Zero Pathways

This week, Climate Finance Pakistan’s founder, Mekaeel Malik, delivered a focused session on Pakistan’s evolving carbon market landscape at LUMS, as part of the Climate Action & Pathways to Net Zero course for MBA students.

The session explored how carbon credits are becoming a critical tool in bridging Pakistan’s estimated $40–50 billion climate finance gap. It also emphasized the importance of equipping future business and policy leaders with both the technical knowledge and strategic insight needed to scale climate solutions.

From extreme weather events to the urgency of implementation, the session reflected CFP’s commitment to building climate literacy, advancing market-based solutions, and strengthening institutional capacity across Pakistan.

As student engagement deepens and ambition rises, the path forward will be shaped by those prepared to turn policy into action and we’re proud to contribute to that shift.
